If You Obey All The Rules...

Last week I busted out my shorts and everyone was talking about how summer is here. Today, however, I had to retrieve my jeans and sweatshirt from the back of the closet as the temperature went back down into the high 60s and there was a strong north wind.  Brrr! Better warm up again by May 24th or I won't be putting so much as a toe in the water. (May 24th is a public holiday and traditionally the first day of the year that Bermudians go for a swim.  I usually don't make it in until sometime in July when the water is at least 80 degrees!).

I haven't played along with The Play Date Cafe in awhile but I liked their colours this week.
I love this tree from Unity - it's what drew me to this particular set in the first place.  I also like the fun Hero Arts sentiment.  The four trees remind me of that segment from Sesame Street - "One of these kids is doing his own thing."  Do they still do that on SS these days?
Supplies: CS: Bazzill; Stamps: Unity, HA: Inks: VersaFine Onyx Black, SU Basic Grey; Copics: YG23, R27; Bling: Basic Grey;

How cool is it that there is a public holiday of sorts for swimming. I don't think I could wait until July! Cute card. I can see why you chose those trees. They are so cute!

Super cute card, and I LOVE the sentiment! The lone red tree is so fun--love that stamp set! That is so cool about the swimming holiday--I'm jealous! It was in the 40s this morning where I'm at, and I was in short sleeves ;)

Love how you used that set! It's going to be a long time before we get in the water here...back down in the 50s today!! And more rain....yuck!!

Jen, I love everything you wrote in this post. You and I are the same - requiring extremely warm weather and water, also being 'different'. That's why I love this card!! ;)

BTW, Unity does have a referral program and they're sending me a free set since you joined so thank you!! If only more stamp companies did that.

Jeans and sweatshirts in the high 60s??!! That's a heat wave where I am! In fact, sunshine and the 40s is shirt-sleever weather.

Love the card. You are going to force me into doing a Unity stamp order soon as I am loving all that you are doing with them.

I think the Sesame Street theme was "one of these things is not like the others, __ of these things are kinda the same..but one of these things just doesn't belong here, now it's time to play our game, it's time to play our game." Did I get it right? I think of that quite often!

Well your card certainly fits that theme, doesn't it? It's so cute! THanks for sharing it with us at The pLay DAte Cafe!
