CAS(E) This Sketch #20

Welcome to Week 20 of CAS(E) This Sketch!  Take a look at this week's sketch designed by Jackie Rockwell:

Purple Onion Designs stamps are some of my favourite for paper piecing and I love the doodley feel of these designs.  Because of the pocket on the sketch I knew I wanted to use the denim patterned paper for the pot.  It just seemed like the right thing to do!  Be sure and pop over to the CAS(E) This Sketch blog and check out the rest of the gorgeous designs by the team and then play along!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (On The Bright Side One) My Mind's Eye
Stamps:  (Flower & sentiment) Purple Onion Designs
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko

Jen - I've been a long time (quiet - because I tend to be a babbly commenter - and you're incredibly busy!) admirer of yours, but I'm compelled to comment on THIS card. LOVE!! The big flower has absolutely melted my heart (could be the winter that keeps going on..and on...and on).
You mentioned it was from Purple Onion; I looked at their site (thank you!! Great stamps!), but couldn't find it. Is it part of a set, or a single? Name? I'm definitely heading back to see what other goodies they have.

You have brightened my day, widened my smile, and lifted my spirt! Have a fantastic Thursday!

Hi Jen: First, your compliment on my Twinkle Star card has me blushing and happy dancing, (clad once again in my winter boots I put away last week. Welcome to 'spring' in Alberta!). Second, THANK YOU for details about the flower stamp. Swirly snow, gloomy clouds, dipping temperatures - pooh to them! This happy flower has me smiling and giddy! Fingers crossed that shipping costs are reasonable (I imagine increases have had an impact on you, as well!). If not, perhaps when we travel to the US next week (Bend OR; we love Bend!!), I'll find them in a craft store. Oh, the anticipation of 'real life' shopping grows! You've made my day amazing! Thank you!

I love that crumb cake colour - everything just pops right off it! And yes, denim was the way to go! As soon as I saw the pocket on the sketch I had the same thought....now to see if I have the guts to actually cut into the jeans I saved for the purpose...lol!
